The Town Council is the 1st tier of Local Government, with North Norfolk District Council being the 2nd tier and Norfolk County Council the 3rd tier.
North Walsham Town Council has 16 Councillors spread over 5 Wards. Councillors are usually elected onto the Council for a period of 4 years, by Parishoners to represent the interests of the Community.

Born and raised in Hickling, I have lived in Norfolk all my life.
I moved to North Walsham in 2000 for work and now currently work full time in Worstead.
I became a Councillor at the elections in March 2019 as I have a passion for the Town and would like to contribute to the community.
I was born in Newcastle Upon Tyne, and after living in Warwickshire, moved to Norfolk 30 years ago.
I am a resident of North Walsham and my Foot Health Care Business has been in North Walsham for over 14 years.
I first became a Town Councillor in June 2011.
I was born in Germany and grew up in Bangor, I joined the RAF at 17 and moved to RAF Coltishall in 1989. I finally moved to North Walsham in 1991 and retired here in October 2021.
Previously being a member of the regeneration committee and hoping to assist the Council and help develop the Town, I was co-opted in December 2021.
Born in West Norfolk, I moved to North Walsham in 2006.
I am the proud owner of a local business within North Walsham Market Place, and also a resident within the Town.
I became a Town Councillor in the May 2019 elections as I wanted to help others.
I have lived in North Walsham for 12 years and Norfolk since birth.
As a long term resident I am keen to ‘get the town moving’, by promoting the growth of businesses. I would like to promote tourism and hospitality by making use of vacant and overgrown sites, attracting visitors to the shops and businesses.

Originally from Ridlington, I moved to North Walsham in the 1960’s.
University and a career in education took me away until recent retirement, when I moved back to Norfolk.
I joined NWTC, having served on Parish and District Councils previously and wanting to give back to my community.
I was born in Norwich and moved to North Walsham in 2000 where I now currently live and work.
I was co-opted onto the Town Council in April 2016, I joined because I wanted to represent the youth of North Walsham.
I am the youngest Councillor to have ever be on the North Walsham Town Council.
I was born in Rutland and having joined the RAF I moved to Norfolk in 1990 when posted to Coltishall. My family and I moved to North Walsham in 1993 and have lived here ever since.
I joined the Town Council in 2012 as a co-opted member, as I wished to contribute in any way I could and attempt to influence decisions made by other bodies that affect our Town.
My family and I moved to North Walsham in April 2020.
Having worked within the NHS, Charities and especially local Government for nearly 30 years in many different departments.
I feel my experience and life skills will enable me to help benefit the local community in the future, as I have previously.
I was co-opted onto the Council in October 2021
I was born and raised in Cornwall and have previously lived and worked in Jersey and London.
I moved to North Walsham, with my husband and son, in 1999 and work full time in Cromer. With my work/life balance the way it is now I have the time and commitment to give back to the community that has made me and my family so welcome
I was born and lived in Essex until 2014, when I moved my family to Norfolk and in 2017 I moved to North Walsham.
I was made redundant at the start of lockdown 2020 and in July 2020 I got keys to start my own business in North Walsham (this is a life long dream) I have now just become a Town Councillor as I want to support and help the town I live and work in

I was born Hertfordshire in 1957 and moved to North Walsham in 2004 via Middlesex, Bedfordshire and Hampshire.
I have worked in Telecommunications and IT all my life until January 2018 when I was medically retired as a Civil Servant.
I have been a Town Councillor since May 2011 as I wanted to try and help to regenerate the town.
I have lived in and around North Walsham for most of my life, brought my children up and ran The Music Hut here in North Walsham. I am enthusiastic about helping the town grow with a good awareness of maintaining our heritage and amenities. North Walsham is a great place to live and visit, but there is always room for improvement which I am honoured to be a part of

I lived for the first 35 yrs in Hartlepool where I worked for ICI North Tees refinery and then for 6 yrs in Saudi Arabia where I worked for Aramco.
I moved to Norfolk in 1986 and worked offshore for BP for 30 yrs, before retiring in 2015.
I have been on the Council since May 2015 and have contributed as much as I can to the best of my ability.
Having been brought up in Coltishall, I moved to North Walsham in 2011. I am married with 2 young children.
I have been very lucky to have a successful career so far within the Town’s hospitality industry.
I was co-opted in April 2021 as I think North Walsham has great potential and I look forward to giving back to the Town, and help to promote the future by drawing upon my own experiences

I was born in Ongar, Essex, and I moved to Norwich for work in 1981 and then to North Walsham in 1992.
I am a retired Civil Engineer.
